ABOUT DRAGON HORSE 'a candy store for the spirit'
The Dragon Horse journey began May 13, 2003 in the Town of Sidney BC. Sidney is about 20 minutes north of Victoria, the Provincial capital. Sidney is a beautiful, vital, clean and welcoming seaside town. People often wish they had discovered Sidney earlier in their visit to the Island.
Dragon Horse began as a Feng Shui store before most North Americans knew what Feng Shui was. It has blossomed since then into an oasis with a nurturing, fresh and updated approach to spirituality, your environment, health, the New Age, Metaphysics and knowledge. We think of it as 'Urban Zen'.
The people who create this wonderful experience for you are Erin, Noel, Karen, Jess, Amanda, Allan, Shirley, Verona and Sandra. We consider ourselves blessed to be able to help you in your journey towards a more fulfilling and bliss filled life.

Noel's first great passion is sports. Besides being a great athlete he is a Reiki Master with a specialty in distance healing. He spends a lot of time in Hawaii and has become very interested in Huna and all Hawaiian modalities. Noel has a vast knowledge of crystals and stones. His favorites include Nuummite, Ocean Jasper, Tanzanite, Arfvedsonite and Enhydro Agate. He loves working in the store with his mother Erin.
Amanda also has a passion for Hawaii and named her new kitten Hugo. Anyone who has watched Lost (which was filmed in Hawaii) knows that the most loveable character on the show was Hugo Reyes. Feline Hugo is a tabby point kitten of unknown lineage. Maybe a Siamese? Amanda has been collecting art and furniture from Dragon Horse for years and comes to help us out from time to time.
Verona technically retired in 2004 but got bored in 2005. She has 8 wonderful grandchildren, all accomplished athletes with Olympic aspirations in volleyball, rowing, gymnastics and swimming. She also has from 8-12 rescue grandpets. These include Horses, Greyhounds, Cats, Mutts and even Japanese Fighting Fish. Verona vacations every winter (since 1989) in Mexico.
Karen's appreciation and love for the arts, movement and energy started with her studies in Modern Dance and Kinesiology at Simon Fraser University. She has continued her passion for movement and energy with her studies in Feng Shui. She practices the Western Style of Feng Shui with particular attention to house as mirror of self, the art of placement and how the energy and the life forces affect our lives.
Sandra was our first intern / volunteer. We were so thrilled with Sandra and the intern program that we plan to continue it. Sandra is now one of our regular staff members. Welcome Sandra.
Sandra loves tarot and tarot decks. She is a student of the pendulum!! She loves reading and metaphysical books in particular. Sandra loves snorkelling off the coast of Vancouver Island.

My great loves are family, animals and the store. I truly love and respect nature. I am in awe of the beauty we have in Canada and BC in particular. In my quest for better health I have taken up yoga and feel ten times better because of it and I'm using raw food in my diet more and more. I am learning to work magic with raw chocolate, cuz, well, a girl needs her chocolate. Working with my son Noel is a real privilege and I feel very lucky to be able to spend every day with him. We vacation together most years with other family members and are passionate about the Big Island of Hawaii. I have a few cats and they really are my 'other' children. I am a Taurean Fire Monkey.
The store nourishes me and even after 9 years, I feel blessed and honoured to be here every day to meet the beautiful people who come to us. Thank you for being such a wonderful part of our lives....Erin
